Top 8 Never Failing Procrastination Tips

1. Give yourself a time limit in which you’ll complete the assignment. That way you won’t keep saying, I’ll do it in a little bit.

 
2. Give yourself a reward if you finish and a punishment if you do not. Such as a Netflix break or going out with friends as a reward, and not going out that night for a punishment.

 
3. Stay away from Netflix, games, phones, etc. They will tempt you, because “only one episode” or “just for a little” will turn into the rest of the night.

 
4. Take yourself to the library if you have to, just to avoid distraction. Sometimes that’s the best place because other people are there to study which gives you motivation.

 
5. Play “white noise” off of pandora or 8 tracks.This can help you to block outside noises but not cause your mind to wander to lyrics.

 
6. Try not to take too many breaks. IF breaks are needed, then SMALL ones like getting up to get a snack or a quick dance sesh to one song.

 
7. Maybe keep a small snack nearby to keep you focused. Nibbling on something can make your mind pay attention to what’s in front of you while the rest of your body is occupied with eating.

 
8. DO NOT study in your bed. You WILL end up taking a nap….
