1. Gin and tonic
Some might consider you an “old soul”, but you think you’re just wiser than your years. After all, who decided that gin and tonics were “old people” drinks?! You just have a refined taste in alcohol, and are conscious of your daily calorie expenditures. Also, you can probably outdrink most of your friends, but they’ll just attribute it to the fact that you’re “old” and “experienced” at drinking.
2. Margarita
You know exactly how to have a good time. You’re probably the more outspoken one in your friend group but that’s just because you let the tequila do the talking for you. You also probably have your own variation of the margarita, and may or may not be so dedicated that you have a tattoo on your ankle. But hey, you won’t regret it when you’re 80. Your love of this delectable combination of tequila and lime juice makes you the life of the party…even if you have a few regrets in the morning.
3. Beer
You’re most likely the mediator in your friend group. You don’t really know why, but you’ve been given that role time and time again (especially when your two best friends break up with one another). No, you don’t want to give her back her clothes for him…but it’s okay. You’re always rewarded for your efforts with a 6 pack of your choice. That makes the whole “mediator” role all the more sweeter. Couple it with steak and you’re sold…after all, you are the more mild-mannered one in your friend group. (Plus, parties almost always have a supply of beer for you…#win).
4. Wine
You could call yourself a “wino” but you don’t want to be confused with Johnny Depp’s tattoo. You’re the most sophisticated of your friends. You don’t always need an overcrowded bar to have a good time. In fact, you’re probably content with curling up on your couch with a bottle of Pinot and watching Netflix. Or even making yourself a nice pasta dinner coupled with wine and then curling up on the couch and watching Netflix. After all, you’re probably one of your only friends who knows how to cook well. People shouldn’t underestimate you though, a wine pre-game can get you drunk in a heartbeat…without the nauseousness later. Just look out for that headache the next morning…
5. Whiskey
Now you really know how to have a good time. You are probably the most crass in your friend group…in a good way. You tell ‘em straight up…just the way you like your Jack Daniel’s. You’re friend is having a bad night? That’s okay…you got this. You always know exactly what to say to cheer anyone up and make them have a good time…even if it has to come from a place of “tough love” every now and again.
6. Vodka
You probably always have your refrigerator stocked with juices. Cranberry, orange, pineapple, you name it. You like anything with a splash of vodka. You’re also probably the most daring of your friends. Tequila makes your clothes fall off? Pshhh…the right amount of vodka provides limitless opportunities for you. You’ve probably done a few embarrassing things on a night out too…like cry about your ex non-stop in front of the bar. But it’s okay! Your friends still love you, and you can blame it on the a-a-a-a-a-alcohol.
7. Tequila (shots).
Ah, tequila shots. For the few and the bold…but that’s exactly what you are. You’re not afraid to down some straight tequila before you hit the bar…and say exactly what’s on your mind. Just make sure you have lime and salt handy. You’re the life of the party…you always show up with a personal tequila bottle. You’ve probably gotten to the point where brand names don’t matter anymore. Especially when a Costco is around…$19.99 for a 1.5 liter bottle of tequila?! You’re sold. Plus it was bottled at the Patron factory…or so you’ve heard. You are probably really convincing too, because it definitely takes some persuading to get your friends to partake in tequila shots with you.
8. Rum
You like a little “spice” in your life. Especially in the form of Captain Morgan spiced rum! You know exactly what to mix with rum to make a good drink. Pina Coladas, Strawberry Daiquiris, Rum and Cokes…they’re all satisfying. You’re probably the most laid back of your friend group. You do things that you feel are right and don’t worry about the rest. You also probably really like tropical vacations. After all, most all inclusive drinks are made with rum.
9. Scotch
Okay, so maybe you only like scotch because you used to steal it from your dad’s liquor cabinet in high school. Or because your friend offered to buy you a drink for your birthday and that’s the first thing that came to mind. Or because you love the movie “Anchorman”. No matter why, you just love scotch. You’re probably the most resourceful, and cautious one of your friend group. After all, you used to steal scotch from meticulously marked alcohol bottles. You’re the one your friends come to when they need help…and you always have a solution.
10. Cider
You probably don’t really like the taste of beer, and don’t really like hard liquor. That’s okay though. You’ve found the perfect substitute. Alcoholic cider. Sure, it tastes like a carbonated form of apple juice, but that’s exactly why you like it. Plus, you can get it for $1.50 on certain nights at your area bar. You probably love the Fall. It’s the perfect season to drink Woodchucks, and there’s always a tailgate. Oh, and another thing. You’re an avid sports fan. Nothing makes you happier than watching Sunday football at a bar with a Woodchuck in your hand…except maybe coupled with Spinach Artichoke dip.
